Cancun, Mexico is located in the Yucatan Peninsula, home to Mexico's best resort town. The region is full of rich history, culture and sun. Cancun is known for its miles of fine powdery white sand along it's beaches blended with multi-color water. The water is so clear, you can see several feet deep. Many visit the region in order to appreciate from its 26,000 Cancun hotel rooms, five (5) star hotels and fine dining and nightlife. Cancun, Mexico is one of the top three resort towns in the world, its +3 million annual visitors can feel Old Mexico and feel some of its sunny isolated "getaway" beaches in the area. Many Cancun tourist spread their stay with day trips into Mexican culture, you can go into town or visit the sites. Downtown Cancun is known as "El Centro", you can get there in a few minutes via bus or taxi. El Centro, offers you fine dining or Mexican everyday living.

The Cancun Hotel Zone, filled with resorts and amenities, lines the beach and lagoon shores along 14-mile-long Cancun Island. Up north, by Mujeres Bay, you’ll find calm beaches for sunning and swimming. Shopping malls, restaurants, and nightclubs are clustered mid-island.

For nature lovers, Cancun is also a gateway to one of Mexico's premier ecological attractions, the 1.3-million-acre Sian Ka'an Biosphere Reserve. Isla Cozumel - Cozumel has gained worldwide attention via its extensive tall coral reefs. Cozumel has developed into a cruise ship stop along the Caribbean waters. Isla Mujeres - The island is 5 miles long by 2.5 miles wide. If you are looking for the perfect relaxation spot, Isla Mujeres offers a value proposition. Inexpensive to lodge, Cancun natural features with slow pace and relaxing environment. Fast paced Cancun is 10 miles away, but Isla Mujeres offers nature. Playa del Carmen - The town attracts many in their 20's & 30's. Playa del Carmen provides a nice beach vacation without having to commit to the cost of the Cancun's prime location. Playa del Carmen is one of the fastest-growing areas in the country, with great restaurants, bars, shops and entertainment.

Ruins at Tulum  - Tour packages are provided by several operators which originate  from both Playa del Carmen and Cancun. This is a heavily visited tourist attraction in the Yucatan Peninsula. Please go early and take bottled water and cash. Nearest ATM is about 81 miles away. The ruins are open daily and cost less than $5 USD to enter. There are local hotels, lodging cost varies from $30 - $50. Tulum is considered to be the most beautiful of the Mayan sites. Tulum is small but exquisitely poised on the fifteen-meter-high cliffs above the Caribbean.  Cancun Archeological Sites

The beaches at Cancun are the most popular among tourists of Quintana Roo. Their beauty is an irresistible invitation to a totally unique holiday. Some of the most outstanding among the many available options are: towards the north, Las Perlas, Linda, Langosta, Tortugas and Caracol; towards the east, Chac-Mool and El Rey, among others.

Eastern beaches - As Gaviota Azul, Chaac Mool, Marlín, Ballenas, San Miguelito and Yamil Lu¿um beaches face the open sea, the waves are big, but you can still practice water sports. The view from their beautiful white sands is stunning.

Northern beaches - Las Perlas, Linda, Langosta, Tortugas, Caracol and Juventud beaches have gentle waves and are therefore ideal for swimming and sailing. There is a main dock from which boats sail for Isla Mujeres, and other, smaller docks where you can rent sailboats. There are also playing fields, restaurants, and bars.

Cancun and Playa del Carmen in the Mexican Caribbean are home to masterpiece golf courses, some of Mexico’s most magnificent beaches and spectacular Mayan ruins. Cancun offers three 18-hole courses, the main one, Pok-Ta-Pok, designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr. The Caesar Park Beach & Golf Resort offers reduced green fees for hotel guests, while the Hotel Melia Cancun´s executive course provides breathtaking ocean views.

A side trip to the island of Cozumel offers a spectacular Nicklaus-designed course carved into the lush mangroves and forest: the Cozumel Country Club. About an hour south of Cancun, the Playacar golf course is another winning choice. A new golf resort is planned for Isla Mujeres
